Salt Lake City, Utah- No. 21 SLCC Softball (13-7) swept the SWAC Player of the Week Awards for the second straight week.
LHP Brecka Larson (7-1) was name the Conference's Pitcher of the Week once again. Larson had another strong weekend in the circle as she picked up two wins in the Bruins four-game sweep over USU-Eastern. Brecka allowed one earned run and threw seven innings over two games. Larson surrendered four hits, walked no one, and struck out seven batters. Opponents batting average against Larson last week was .160.
SS Jazmine Prathan earned the SWAC Player of the Week Award. Prathan recorded at least one hit in every game of the series against USU-E. Jazmine hit two home runs, one triple, and one double in the series as she went 6-12. Prathan drove in eight runs, scored seven runs, and stole three bases.
Prathan is a freshman from Syracuse, Utah and she has recorded at least one hit in 12 of the last 13 games for Salt Lake.
