CARSON CITY, NV – The third ranked SLCC women's softball team escaped with the four game sweep of Western Nevada winning 8-2 & 4-2 on the final day of the series.  The Bruins are 38-6 overall and 30-2 in conference play.

Ariel Zimmerman continued her pitching dominance striking out 11 batters in the 8-2 win in game one.  Madi White was 3 for 4 with a two run homer and Savannah Webster was 2 for 4 with her own two run home run.   

In the final game of the series Kylee Colvin and Dezlee Roberts combined to lead Salt Lake over Western Nevada.  Roberts allowed two early runs but Colvin shut the door throwing three scoreless innings.  Shay Wallace was a perfect 3 for 3 with a double and DJ Richardson was 3 for 4 to help the Bruins in the win.
