Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Wednesday, February 7, 2024) – No. 11 Salt Lake avenged its only home loss of the season, beating USU Eastern 84-72 in Price.
For one night at least, the Bruins (20-3, 4-1) overcame their zone woes to shoot 42 percent from deep and 48 percent overall in the 12-point victory.
Freshman Xavier Edmonds bullied the Eagles down low, shooting 15 free throws on his way to a team-high 19 points off the bench.
Redshirt sophomore Bryce Zephir finished with 18 points and seven rebounds, while redshirt freshman Zaon Collins had ten assists.
Sophomore CJ Luster scored 18 points, and freshman Preston Squire made four of five from three for 14 points. Redshirt sophomore Michael Folarin grabbed four rebounds in 14 minutes in his second game back after missing the previous four.
The No. 11 Bruins head to Rangely, Colorado, for a date with the Colorado Northwestern Spartans. SLCC handed the Spartans a 93-64 loss in January.
