Salt Lake, Utah- Salt Lake Guard Danny Young Jr. earned First Team All-Conference honors. Young, a redshirt sophomore, led the Bruins in scoring and was third in the conference, averaging 16.6 PPG. Danny scored a career-high 36 points on the Bruins sophomore night against CNCC. Additionally he recorded 28 points in three games this season. 

Young was also third in the SWAC in FT% going 96-111 (86%) from the line. Danny led the Bruins with 64 made three-pointers which was the fourth most in the conference. The transfer from Cleveland State was 11th in the conference in minutes per game with 28.1.

Danny is from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Coached by his father, he averaged 25.1 PPG at Shaker Heights high school his senior year. He and his dad became the first Father/Son to win the Lake Erie League Championship. Danny is the second all-time leading scorer (1683 points) at Shaker Heights high school.
