TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 8, 2023) – The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College volleyball team had a strong showing to open its final preseason tournament of the year.

SLCC earned a 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 win over the University of Providence (Mont.), an NAIA school, then posted a 27-25, 25-18, 25-13 win over Western Wyoming. The victories lift the Bruins to 9-5 overall.

Tessa Treanor had a combined 19 kills in the matches, while Fuka Kikuchi posted 18 kills. Brinlie Crosbie posted 30 assists. SLCC hit .314 as a team in the win over Providence. 

Salt Lake will continue play Saturday with matches against Central Wyoming and Casper College.
