Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Saturday, December 2, 2023) – Mia Tarver led Salt Lake through some second-quarter struggles before the Bruins took control of a 76-42 win.
SLCC improved to 6-4 with the win.
Salt Lake jumped out to an early lead but spotty effort allowed the All-Stars to chip away.
Sophomore forward Karina Grayer led the Bruins with 12 first-half points, helping her team to a 33-23 halftime lead.
SLCC pulled away in the second half. The Bruins' conditioning took control as the pace slowed and Salt Lake's familiarity and depth began to show.
Tarver finished with a team-high 15 points and five assists. Grayer finished with 14 points while Heaven Samayoa-Mathis added 12 and Ana Oliviera Dias chipped in 11.
Salt Lake heads to La Junta, Colorado to take part in the Otero Tournament next weekend. SLCC faces Otero JC on Friday, December 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (MT).
