Twin Falls, Idaho- No. 1 seed CSI avenged their 2025 Region 18 Championship loss to Salt Lake and beat the three seeded Bruins 65-46 to claim the 2026 Region 18 title.
The Golden Eagles played a balanced first half and led the Bruins 38-21 at the break. Tahys Da Silva and Ines Babaya were the Bruins leading scorers as they both tallied eleven points. Da Silva also recorded six assists and six steals.
Both teams struggled to take care of the ball as there were 45 combined turnovers in the game, but CSI shot significantly better than Salt Lake. The Golden Eagles shot 25-54 (46.3%) overall and 7-15 (46.7%) from beyond the arc. The Bruins shot 17-49 on field goals (34.7%) and 4-14 (28.6%) on three-pointers. Chloe Jensen and Savannah Stoker led CSI with 15 points a piece.
