Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 23, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team wasted no time in letting its presence be known in the postseason.
 
SLCC, opening the Region 18 tournament with a quarterfinal against Community Christian College, earned a strong 81-52 win in a game where it never trailed. The Bruins are now 21-8 overall after the win.
 
The Bruins and CCC went back-and-forth through the first half, with SLCC posting a narrow 33-30 halftime lead. Salt Lake took control in the second half though, holding a 48-22 scoring advantage in the second half to pick up the victory. SLCC's defense forced 23 CCC turnovers, leading to 26 points.
 
Brooke Donnelly led Salt Lake with 14 points, while Hennessey Luu-Brown posted 12 points in the win. Diarrah Sissoko had 9 points.
 
Salt Lake will play Snow College in the Region 18 semifinals on Friday. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. tipoff inside the Lifetime Activities Center.
