Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 19, 2022) – It's challenging to play an opponent on back-to-back days, but the Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team found a way to overcome the challenge.
SLCC rose to earn a 99-49 win over Colorado Northwestern on Saturday, downing the Lady Spartans on consecutive days. The Bruins are now 19-8 overall and 11-6 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
Salt Lake took control early in the game and never looked back, outscoring CNCC 28-8 after the first quarter and taking a 54-18 halftime lead. SLCC's defense was dominating in the win, with the Bruins limiting CNCC to just 26.6 percent shooting in the game (17-of-64).
Djessira Diawara scored 20 points in the win, while
Brooke Donnelly finished with 17 points.
Naelle Bernard had 15 points, and
Diarrah Sissoko and
Maniah Clegg both scored 10 points.
Salt Lake will close Scenic West play with a game against Community Christian on Monday.
