Bruins roll to win over Northeastern

Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 18, 2022) – A weekend tournament in Wyoming has been just what the No. 15 Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team needed.

After playing only one game in the first few weeks of the season, SLCC has played games on back-to-back games, earning back-to-back wins after a 89-50 victory over Northeastern Junior College in a Wyoming-based tournament Friday. The Bruins are now 3-0 overall.

SLCC's defense controlled throughout the game, holding Northeastern to just 28.8 percent shooting. Salt Lake's depth also made a significant difference, posting a 45-11 advantage in bench points.

Mia Tarver led the Bruins with 26 points, then Brooke Donnelly had 16 points. Finau Tonga scored 14 points.

Salt Lake will close out the tournament at Casper College on Saturday, facing off against Western Nebraska.
