Cross Country: The SLCC Cross Country programs will return to racing this week, running in the 'Steve Reeder Memorial Invitational' in Logan.

The SLCC Men's program remains at No. 11 in the NJCAA polls, while the SLCC Women's program is at No. 6. Rankings will be updated later this week.

Looking ahead at the meet in Logan, Salt Lake coach Isaac Wood said his team will be able to get an honest assessment of itself this week.

"This will be a good chance to race on a quality course," he said. "This week we are doing individual mid-season goal meetings, and we'll be able to continue to keep our sights set on what matters most that will help us prepare to have a great competition at Utah State on Friday."

Men's Soccer: Still sitting at No. 2 in the latest NJCAA polls, Salt Lake will be off this week.

Volleyball: After downing another nationally ranked foe last week, the SLCC Volleyball team is up to No. 2 in the latest NJCAA polls.

Salt Lake will host a pair of home matches inside the Lifetime Activities Center, playing Colorado Northwestern on Friday and No. 5 USU Eastern on Saturday. The Friday match is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start, while the USU Eastern match starts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

"The battle for the Scenic West continues for us this week," said Bruins coach Shay Goulding Meurer. "We will not overlook CNCC, and we will use that night to get better and tweak what we need to tweak to be ready for USU Eastern on Saturday.

"(USU Eastern) is feeling confident, but so are we. We will continue to make the most important things the most important things and be patient with the process. Our goal will first be to win the serve and serve-receive battle. With Eastern, we will need to come out with all guns loaded. I am convinced that if we play our best volleyball, it doesn't matter who is on the other side. The critical factor remains that we must play our best volleyball in order to beat Eastern."

Women's Soccer: The SLCC Women's Soccer program will be off this week, awaiting a full week of competition next week in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
