Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 20, 2021) - The No. 12 Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team suffered a close road loss to an in-state rival Saturday.
The Bruins fell in a tight 60-59 decision at Snow College Saturday, losing in a game that featured 16 lead changes and where neither team led by double-digits. The loss drops Salt Lake to 8-2 overall and 3-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Snow held a narrow 28-23 halftime lead, with the Bruins cutting the deficit to 44-42 heading into the fourth quarter. The Lady Badgers held a 34-18 edge in points-in-the-paint, a sizable advantage that helped them throughout the game.
Riley Frith led Salt Lake with 17 points, while
Awa Sidibe posted 12 points. SLCC finished with an 18-7 edge in bench points.Â
Salt Lake will play a pair of games next weekend, traveling to play games at No. 17 Southern Idaho on Thursday and in-state rival USU Eastern on Saturday. SLCC's next home game is scheduled for March 3 against Colorado Northwestern Community College.Â
