Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 11, 2021) – The No. 14 Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team stayed undefeated on the 2021 season, rolling to a strong victory.

SLCC earned a  win over Colorado Northwestern Community College on the road Thursday, starting fast and holding on for the 80-72 win. The win lifts SLCC to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in Scenic West play.

The Bruins took an early 21-10 lead after the first quarter, taking a comfortable halftime lead and an even more comfortable 59-40 lead into the fourth quarter. CNCC went on a run in the period, cutting the Salt Lake lead to single digits, but ultimately was unable to take control.

Miscues helped CNCC throughout the night, with SLCC's 19 turnovers and 8-of-21 performance at the free-throw line assisting the Lady Spartans late. The Bruins did hold a 21-7 advantage in bench points, however.Â

Jalyn Van Dyke finished with a career-high 19 points to help Salt Lake, with
Awa Sidibe scoring 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Lailani Augmon posted 13 bench points, with
Aminata Diakite scoring 11 points.

The Bruins will finish the week with a game against Southern Nevada on Saturday. The game will tip at 1:00 p.m. inside the Lifetime Activities Center.
