Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 29, 2021) - Not playing at home proved to be no problem for the Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team.
The Bruins, who opened a tournament at Western Wyoming Community College Friday, earned a 67-32Â win over Central Wyoming to move to 3-0 on the season. SLCC took a 22-7 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, leading 34-19 at halftime.
Salt Lake's defense made the difference in the game, with the Bruins holding Central Wyoming to 30.2 percent shooting in the game while forcing 25 turnovers. SLCC also held a 29-4 advantage off the bench.
Awa Sidibe led all scorers in the game, finishing with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting.
Riley Frith and
Jalyn Van Dyke both posted 7 points in the win.Â
Salt Lake will play host Western Wyoming on Saturday. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.Â
