Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 4, 2020) – The winning streak for the Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team hit double-digits on Saturday, thanks to a strong win to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

SLCC downed Colorado Northwestern Community College, 76-25, on Saturday, opening league play with clinical efficiency after winter break. The win boosts SLCC's overall record to 12-4 and 1-0 in the Scenic West.
Salt Lake took a 42-7 lead at halftime, holding CNCC to an 0-of-10 performance from the field in the second quarter. SLCC put down the defensive clamps repeatedly, forcing 27 turnovers and limiting Colorado Northwestern to just 18.6 percent shooting (8-of-43) for the game. The Bruins also outrebounded the Lady Spartans, 44-29.
Awa Sidibe led SLCC with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Ashley Scoggin finished with 9 points and
Rafaella Piassa and
Jalyn VanDyke finished with 7 points. Salt Lake had 13 players score in the game.
The Bruins will host the College of Southern Idaho on Thursday inside the Lifetime Activities Center and will travel to play at Snow College on Saturday.
