Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 11, 2020) – The first road game of the Scenic West Athletic Conference season presented no problem for the Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team.

The Bruins earned a 68-61Â road win over in-state rival Snow College to move to 3-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, opening up an early lead in the league standings. Salt Lake also moves to 14-4 overall with the victory.

Salt Lake opened the road game with momentum, carrying forward a 20-13 lead after the first quarter. The Bruins then powered to a 35-27 halftime lead, limiting Snow to just 3-of-14 shooting in the first quarter and 31.8 percent shooting in the first half (7-of-22). While the two teams would trade momentum back-and-forth in the second half, SLCC's dominance in the paint (28-12 edge) helped them earn the strong victory. Salt Lake led 53-40 entering the final period.Â
Awa Sidibe led the Bruins with 18 points, making both of her three-point attempts.
Leichan Williams posted 13 points, while
Fatoumata Jallow scored 12 points.
Ashley Scoggin was the team's other double-digit scorer, finishing with 10 points.Â

SLCC will travel for a Thursday game next week against USU Eastern. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. tip in Price.
