Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 7, 2019) – The Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team closed out a preseason tourney with a perfect record and a dominant victory on Saturday.

The Bruins earned a 95-61 win over Williston State College to finish a College of Southern Idaho-hosted tournament with a 2-0 record. The win also boosts Salt Lake's overall record to 7-4.

SLCC took control early and never looked back, leading 22-13 after the first quarter. The Bruins then went on a monster 31-12 run in the third quarter, running away with the game while leading by as many as 40 points midway through the fourth quarter. Salt Lake's offense provided a strong boost as the Bruins shot 56.2 percent from the field, taking advantage of Williston's 21 turnovers along the way.Â
Salt Lake held a 54-28 advantage in points-in-the-paint and scored 27 points off Williston turnovers. SLCC's bench also posted 33 points in the breakaway win. For the second-consecutive game,
Awa Sidibe led the Bruins in scoring with 19 points, while
Ashley Scoggin posted 14 points.
Hazel Fui scored 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting and
Riley Frith finished with 10 points. Â
Salt Lake will play a single game this week, facing off against Tohono O'Odham College on Friday inside the Lifetime Activities Center. The game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.Â
