Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (November 21, 2019) - The Salt Lake Community College women's basketball team fell in a preseason contest in Texas Thursday.

The Bruins fell 80-65 to Kilgore College in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT tournament in Texas, hosted by Midland Junior College. The loss drops Salt Lake's overall record to 2-3.

SLCC trailed 17-15 after a close first quarter but Kilgore powered on 6-of-6 free-throw shooting in the second quarter to take a 37-23 halftime lead. The Bruins cut the lead to 57-47 entering the final period but a 9-of-11 performance at the line in the fourth quarter powered Kilgore to the win.

Awa Sidibe led the Bruins with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Fatoumata Jallow scored 12 points for Salt Lake and Ashley Scoggin finished with 11 points.

The Bruins will play in a consolation game on Friday.
