TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 12, 2018) - The No. 9 Salt Lake Community College Bruins are headed to the NJCAA National Tournament, with a first-round matchup with ASA Brooklyn on the books.
The Bruins and ASA Brooklyn will play on Monday, Mar. 19 in Lubbock, Tex., in the opening round of the tournament. Salt Lake rolled to a victory over No. 21 Cochise in the first round of the 2017 national tourney, with ASA Brooklyn being ranked at No. 24 in this tournament.
ASA Brooklyn went 21-1 on the season, with their only loss coming on Mar. 9 to Harford Community College in the District C Championship.

Betsy Specketer said the Bruins are excited for their first-round matchup.
"We're obviously very excited about the opportunity to play against the nation's best," she said. "It's what you work for all year long. I think the tournament is wide open, in terms of having no overwhelming favorite this year. We're anxious to get back to work and look forward to the challenge that next week will bring."
