Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 17, 2018) - The No. 13 Salt Lake Community College Bruins continued their march towards the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season title Saturday, earning their second consecutive victory in a win over in-state foe USU Eastern.

The Bruins rolled to a 74-57 win over the Eagles, moving to 3-0 on the season against USU Eastern. Salt Lake led 28-8 after the first quarter, leading 39-23 at the half after limiting USU Eastern to a shooting percentage of just 38.3 percent. 

Salt Lake opened the game on a 16-0 run that was punctuated by a Miki'alo Maio layup. The Bruins' biggest lead would stretch to 24 points, as SLCC led 37-13 with 3:54 left in the second quarter.

While the game featured some sterling statistics for the Bruins, including forcing 22 turnovers, free-throw shooting continued to be an area of concern for Salt Lake as the Bruins made just 8-of-13 (61.5 percent). Salt Lake also had 20 turnovers of its own.

Tia Hay led the Bruins in scoring, finishing with 24 points. Maio finished with 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting, while Kimauri Toia scored 10 points.
