Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (December 15, 2017) - The Salt Lake Community College Bruins were looking to enter a holiday break on a high note.
Accounting the results they returned, the Bruins accomplished that goal, picking up a 99-39 win over Western Wyoming Community College to end the first half of the season at 11-3. The Bruins rolled the Mustangs, holding Western Wyoming to a 31.1 shooting percentage.
Salt Lake led 28-5 after the first quarter, taking a 52-14 lead at halftime. The game proved to be extremely beneficial for the Bruins, as they earned a game that allowed for a great deal of the roster to compete. Eleven different Bruins scored, with Kimauri Toia leading the charge with 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Bruins guard Tia Hay finished with 13 points in the game.
Salt Lake is now on a extended holiday break, with their next scheduled game coming against Lake Region State College in Las Vegas on Dec. 27. The Bruins will host their next home game on Jan. 11, as they welcome in Scenic West rival College of Southern Idaho.
