Ephraim, UT—The
No. 6-ranked SLCC Women's Basketball team (21-5, 10-1 SWAC) fell to in-state rival Snow College (11-13, 4-7 SWAC)
56-46 on Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) play.
The loss for SLCC ends a 16-game win streak one game shy of tying the school's all-time record of 17 consecutive victories (2009-2010).
The Bruins led 25-23 at the halftime break but were held to 29.6 percent from the field on 8-for-27 shooting in the first frame. Snow College outscored SLCC 33 to 21 in the second half and picked up its first win against the Bruins in three tries this season.
The Badgers out-rebounded the Bruins 37-33 and shot 41.2 percent from the field while holding SLCC to 26.8 percent shooting for the contest. SLCC turned the basketball over 19 times to 17 giveaways for Snow College.

Natalie Parsons (Bountiful, UT) led SLCC with 12 points and had three assists in the losing effort. Sophomore guard
Summer Yack (South Jordan, UT) turned in nine points with two rebounds and freshman guard
Cassidy Fraughton (American Fork, UT) finished with five points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Betsy Specketer and the Bruins is a road game at North Idaho College (NIC) (20-7, 6-6 SWAC) on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Coeur d'Alene, ID with tipoff slated for 6:30 p.m. (MST), 5:30 p.m. (PST). SLCC leads the regular season series with NIC 2-0.
