Salt Lake City, UT—The No. 21-ranked SLCC Women's Basketball team (15-9, 6-5 SWAC) defeated in-state rival Snow College (9-16, 3-8 SWAC) 56-48 in Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Saturday at Bruin Arena. The Bruins out-rebounded the Badgers 36-31 and were 26 for 37 from the free throw line in the victory.

SLCC freshman guard Miranda Averett (Price, UT) led the Bruins with 11 points in the game and also contributed four rebounds. Sophomore center Rachel Morris (Mesquite, NV) scored seven points to go with five rebounds and freshman forward Bella Swan (Farmington, UT) added seven points and four rebounds in the winning effort.

Next up for Head Coach Betsy Specketer and the Bruins is a home game against SWAC rival No. 19-ranked College of Southern Idaho (17-10, 10-2 SWAC) on Thursday, Feb. 14 at Bruin Arena with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
