TWIN FALLS, ID—The No. 7-ranked SLCC Volleyball team (14-5, 2-0 SWAC) defeated No. 4 College of Southern Idaho (CSI) (14-6, 2-1 SWAC) on Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) competition. The Bruins topped the Golden Eagles 3-1 by scores of 25-22, 26-24, 23-25 and 25-23. Â
SLCC Stats: Bruin freshman Carol Grasso (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led all players with 18 kills in the match and hit for a .238 attacking percentage. Sophomore middle hitter Janessa Koelliker (Kaysville, UT) tallied nine kills and hit .300 for the contest and sophomore setter Baylie Henrie (Kaysville, UT) had 42 assists to go with eight digs in the winning effort.
Next up for Head Coach Sue Dulaney and the Bruins is a road trip to Coeur d'Alene, ID for a SWAC match-up with No. 16 North Idaho College (NIC) (9-5, 2-0 SWAC) on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. (Noon PT).
