Clarksville, TENNESSEE- No. 7 seed Salt Lake fell to No. 6 seed Trinity Valley Community College in Day 3 of the NJCAA National Tournament in five sets. The Bruins won the fourth set 25-17, but were on the wrong side of another thrilling match as they lost the fifth set 15-12.
Paige Ballif and Cameron Zajer each had 15 kills to lead Salt Lake. Shaylee Dahle added 12 kills and Kambri Kuhni recorded eleven kills and hit .667 for the Bruins. Setters Avrie Valgardson and Myka Christensen combined to record 60 assists. Libero Daxlyn Gammell had 20 digs in the loss.
Salt Lake hit .253 as a team and Trinity Valley hit .285 in the match. The Cardinals (30-7) avenged their straight set loss on September 13th to the Bruins (26-6).
