Salt Lake City, UT—The No. 19-ranked SLCC Women's Basketball team (13-9, 4-5 SWAC) lost to Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (13-11, 2-7 SWAC) 50-46 on Thursday at Bruin Arena.

Bruin sophomore center Rachel Morris (Mesquite, NV) led all scorers with 18 points and completed a double-double with 10 rebounds in the losing effort. Sophomore guard Katie Richens (Roosevelt, UT) also turned in a double-double, scoring 13 points to go with 12 rebounds on the night. Sophomore guard Diamond Marchand (Ellenwood, GA) added six points and four assists.

Next up for Head Coach Betsy Specketer and the Bruins is a matchup with USU-Eastern (6-14, 3-5 SWAC) on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Bruin Arena. The game takes place on the annual Shoot Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Night for the Bruins, with fans and players clad in pink to support the cause.
