Twin Falls, ID—The
No. 16-ranked Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team (13-7, 4-3 SWAC) lost in overtime to rival College of Southern Idaho (CSI) (12-10, 6-2 SWAC) by a 69-68 final score on Thursday. SLCC shot 47% in the losing effort and was 8-for-11 from the free throw line.
SLCC was outscored 9-8 by the CSI Eagles in overtime and a second buzzer beating attempt from
Marchand was missed as time expired in the contest.
Bruin sophomore center
Rachel Morris (Mesquite, NV) scored 14 points to go with nine rebounds and five blocks in the losing effort. Sophomore guard
Katie Richens (Roosevelt, UT) scored 11 points with six rebounds and freshman guard
Natalie Parsons (Bountiful, UT) added 14 points and three rebounds.

Betsy Specketer and the Bruins is a trip to Coeur d'Alene, ID for a second matchup with
No. 2 North Idaho College (21-1, 6-1 SWAC) on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 4 p.m. MT. The Bruins defeated North Idaho 55-49 at Bruin Arena on Jan. 3 and SLCC is the only team that has beaten the Cardinals this season.
