Price, UT—The SLCC Women's Basketball team (11-6, 2-2 SWAC) defeated in-state rival USU-Eastern (4-12, 1-3 SWAC) 70-64 on Thursday. The Bruins shot 43% from the field in the victory and were 18-of-24 from the free throw line. SLCC moved into third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) with the victory.

Mercedes Riggs (Lindon, UT) scored 12 points, shooting 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. Freshman forward
Bella Swan (Farmington, UT) added 10 points and four rebounds in the winning effort.
