TWIN FALLS, IDAHO- The SLCC Women's basketball team fell on the road to Southern Idaho 69-63. The Bruins took a 33-29 lead into the locker room at half time but free throws led to the Southern Idaho win. Salt Lake shot 10 free throws in the game compared to 29 for Southern Idaho. The loss ends Salt Lakes seven game winning streak and the Bruins fall to 9-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
In the back and forth game Salt Lake shot 41% from the field led by
Marissa Robbins with 12 points and five rebounds.
Nicole Newbold added 11 and
Fawn Brady grabbed a team high seven rebounds with six assists and nine points.
The Bruins look to rebound from the loss as they head to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho to face #15 North Idaho on Saturday, January 7
th.
