SALT LAKE CITY (January 30, 2010) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball team beat Colorado Northwestern by a score of 79-52. Salt Lake held Colorado to 29% shooting and 3 of 20 from behind the arc. The Bruins are 18-3 overall and remain in first place in the Scenic West with a record of 11-2.
Haley Holmstead scored 24 points with Alli Blake adding 17 points on 7-10 shooting. Mina Jovanovic collected 10 rebounds with six points and five assists. Salt Lake controlled the paint scoring 30 points under the basket with 54 rebounds to Colorado's 28.
No. 5 Salt Lake (18-3, 11-2 SWAC) heads down to Ephraim Utah to face Snow College on February 6th.
