Box Score 4 WEST JORDAN, Utah- No. 19 Bruins Baseball (19-7, 4-0) swept USU-Eastern in Salt Lake's Conference opener.
Gage Olsen shut down the Eagles in game one as Salt Lake won 4-1. Olsen tossed a complete game allowing one run on four hits and striking out one batter.
The Bruins won game two 8-7 as Jake Mortensen scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth. Mortensen scored four runs for the Bruins and reached base six times. Jake hit a single, double, triple, and walked three times. Taylor Ayala brought in four runs and went 2-4.
Salt Lake won game three 4-3 with a walk-off RBI single from Taylor Ayala in the tenth.
The Eagles scored in the top of the ninth and led 3-2. Avery Doezie hit a clutch RBI double in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game 3-3. Aiden Boice recorded his first win of the season after getting three straight outs in the top of the tenth.
The Bruins won game four 5-4 and pulled off the sweep. Salt Lake scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to lead 4-1. The Eagles responded with three runs in the top of the sixth, but Jalen Seward recorded the game-winning run with a solo home run for the Bruins in the bottom of the sixth. Boice picked up the save for Salt Lake.

Salt Lake will head to Colorado to play CNCC on March 28th and 29th. Game one on Friday starts at 1:00 p.m.
