Salt Lake City, Utah- Bru Cru CF Tyler West was selected in the 12th round of the MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. The speedy outfielder was the 366th pick.

West is from St. George, Utah and led the Bruins this past season in hits (88) and batting average (.391). His elite speed led to 32 stolen bases, four triples, and an inside-the-park home run throughout the season. 

West was recruited out of high school for baseball and as a WR in football. On December 9, 2025 West committed to Texas A&M.
