Box Score 2 Beatrice, Nebraska- The 2025 JUCO World Series Champs are headed back to Grand Junction as the Bruins became the West District Champions for the second straight season.
Salt Lake lost to Central Arizona 6-4 to force a winner take all game. The Bruins took charge in their second game against the Vaqueros and won 8-1.
Salt Lake scored three runs in the bottom of the first off a three-run homer from Drew Smith. After sac-fly's from Gage Wareham and from Tyler West, the Bruins led 5-0 after four innings. Kaden Hodson hit another blast and his two-run homer gave the Bruins a 7-1 lead after seven innings of play. In the eighth inning Wareham brought in the final run of the game with a fielder's choice RBI. RHP Nolan Tillitt got the start and pitched well for the Bruins as he allowed one run in 4.2 innings.
