Bruin Men's and Women's Basketball Host Weekend Showdown with Snow College

The Bruins Look to End Both Badger Winning Streaks

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah - The Salt Lake Community College men's and women's basketball teams are wrapping up a thrilling week against in-state rivals with a showdown versus Snow College.

SLCC faces Snow College on Saturday, February 22, the women's game tips off at 1:00 p.m., followed by the men's game at 3:00 p.m.

The Bruin men are looking forward to playing the Badgers for a third time this year.

Snow College, currently the No. 1 team in the nation, has edged out SLCC twice this season in nail-biting fashion. In their first contest, SLCC, then ranked No. 4, fell by just one point in Taylorsville, losing 77-76 after surrendering the lead with under a minute to go.

The second meeting in Ephraim was just as intense, with Snow College securing the win in overtime 91-86.

The Bruins will have home-court advantage once again as they seek to hand Snow their first conference loss.

The Lady Bruins are (1-0) against the Badgers this year. Salt Lake got the win on January 4th, 84-52. The Salt Lake Women are on a three-game losing streak and need to win-out to have a chance to move up in the conference standings. Meanwhile, the Lady Badgers have won 5 straight conference games and are currently in 4th-place in the conference.
