Box Score 3 PIMA, Arizona (December 28-30, 2024) No. 4 Salt Lake Men's Basketball (12-3) went 1-2 in three games in three days at the Aztec Classic, hosted by Pima College.
On Saturday Salt Lake lost to Dawson Community College (13-1) 103-98. Sophomore Mason Bendinger had 27 points to lead the Bruins. Sophomore Xavier Edmonds posted a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Bruins second loss of the season.
Salt Lake (12-2) demolished Central Arizona (7-8) 95-66 in each team's second game of the weekend. Edmonds had a massive double-double with 24 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore Ethan Copeland added 19 points for the Bruins. Edmonds and Copeland went a combined 18-26 from the field.
On Monday the Bruins (12-3) lost to undefeated Pima College (15-0) 92-75. Edmonds had 31 points and 10 rebounds for Salt Lake. Edmonds, the TCU commit, has now posted a double-double in his last five games.
