Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (May 4, 2022) – The No. 12 Salt Lake Community College Baseball team didn't get caught dreaming through a California doubleheader Wednesday.
 
SLCC played well from start-to-finish, earning a doubleheader sweep over Community Christian with victories of 14-1 and 10-0. The victory lifts the Bruins to 41-8 overall and 35-4 in Scenic West games.
 
Salt Lake and Community Christian will play the series finale on Thursday.
 
Salt Lake 14, Community Christian 1: A sharp performance lifted the Bruins to the run-rule win.
 
SLCC scored 10 runs in the sixth inning to end the game prematurely – a game that featured 12 hits. The Bruins also benefitted from 5 CCC errors. 
 
Jaxon Weatherly went 2-of-3 at the plate with a trio of RBI's to lead Salt Lake. The Bruins had five players finish with multi-hit games. Derik Eaquinto earned the pitching win, throwing five innings and posting five strikeouts.
 
Salt Lake 10, Community Christian 0: Another run-rule victory saw the Bruins powers to an impressive win.
 
SLCC posted a dominating win, with players like Hunter Swapp and Cade Perkins leading the way. Swapp went 2-of-4 at the plate, finishing with 4 RBI's. 
 
Daxton Purser earned the pitching win, throwing five innings and posting four strikeouts. SLCC's pitching staff allowed just one hit in the win.
