Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (May 3, 2022) – The No. 12 Salt Lake Community College Baseball team earned a strong win to open its final series of the 2022 regular season.
 
SLCC picked up a 10-2 win over Community Christian College, moving to 5-0 against the Crusaders this season. The win lifts the Bruins to 39-8 overall and 33-4 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
 
Salt Lake took an early lead, posting a 3-1 advantage in the second inning that included a Cade Perkins base hit. Karson Bodily then added an RBI base hit in the fourth inning to up the advantage to 6-1. Chase Taylor had a two-run base hit in the fifth inning, then Hunter Swapp added an RBI double in the seventh inning to give SLCC a 9-2 lead.
 
Shay Timmer earned the pitching win, throwing five innings and allowing just two runs. 
 
Salt Lake and Community Christian will play a doubleheader on Wednesday.
