Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 8, 2022) – The No. 13 Salt Lake Community College Baseball team split a Scenic West Athletic Conference road doubleheader Friday.

SLCC split the day's action with Southern Nevada, earning a 5-0 win and then falling in an 11-1 loss. The Bruins are now 27-6 overall and 21-2 in Scenic West games with the loss.

Salt Lake and Southern Nevada will play the series finale on Saturday.

Dalton Hodge hit an RBI single in the first inning, followed up by
Cade Perkins hitting a solo home run in the second inning.
Bruer Webster also hit an RBI single in the second inning to up Salt Lake's lead to 3-0. Salt Lake added a pair of runs in the fifth inning.

Webster went 2-of-4 at the plate to lead Salt Lake.
Daxton Purser earned the pitching win, throwing five innings.Â

The Coyotes posted six runs in the first inning, seizing momentum after being shutout in the series through two games. SLCC scored its lone run in the fourth inning on a Jaxson Weatherly RBI walk.Â
