Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 16, 2022) – The No. 13 Salt Lake Community College Baseball team accomplished yet another season sweep Saturday.
 
SLCC moved to 4-0 in a weekend series at Colorado Northwestern Community College, thanks to a 7-0 win on Saturday that also moved the Bruins to 8-0 on the season against the Spartans. Salt Lake is now 32-6 overall and 26-2 in Scenic West play.
 
SLCC took a 6-0 lead midway through the fifth inning, with Chase Taylor hitting a bases-clearing double to key the rally. Taylor added an RBI triple in the sixth inning, with Braden Winget also contributing an RBI double in the frame. 
 
Ernesto Lugo-Canchola earned the shutout victory, throwing five scoreless innings. Jordan Pace earned the save, throwing a strikeout in the seventh inning. 
 
Salt Lake will travel to play at the College of Southern Idaho next weekend.
