SLCC earned a doubleheader sweep over Colorado Northwestern on Friday, moving to 3-0 in the road series with wins of 9-2 and 7-1. The Bruins are now 31-6 overall and 25-2Â in Scenic West games, continuing to build their lead atop the standings.

Salt Lake and CNCC will play the series finale in a single game on Saturday.

Salt Lake 7, Colorado Northwestern 1: The Bruins scored four early runs to power to the win.

SLCC took a 4-0 lead after the second inning, thanks to RBI singles by
Bruer Webster,
Karson Bodily and
Dalton Hodge.
Hunter Swapp added an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Daxton Burser earned the pitching win, throwing six innings.
Daniel Brousseau picked up the save.Â

Salt Lake 9, Colorado Northwestern 2: An early scoring spurt lifted the Bruins to a win in the day's second game.

Travis Johnson hit an RBI triple in the second inning, with
Jaxon Weatherly also contributing an RBI double to lift the Bruins to a 3-1 lead.
Zachary Blaszak added a two-run home run in the fourth inning, with
Colton Easton adding an RBI double in the fifth inning.
Hunter Swapp also contributed a two-run home run in the seventh inning to close the scoring.Â
