TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 7, 2022) - The No. 1 Salt Lake Community College Men's Basketball team earned the top overall seed in the upcoming 2022 NJCAA National Tournament, popularly known as 'Hutch'. 

SLCC was named as the top seed in the upcoming tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 15 for the Bruins. SLCC will play either No. 16 Moberly Area or No. 17 Pearl River, with the Bruins scheduled to play a quarterfinal on Thursday. Salt Lake will have to win four games in five days to win the national title.

The Bruins weren't the only team from the Scenic West Athletic Conference to advance, with Snow College sitting as the No. 15 seed in the tournament. Southern Idaho is also on SLCC's side of the draw, with the Golden Eagles sitting as the No. 20 seed. SLCC and CSI could meet in the semifinals, based on the bracketing, while a SLCC-Snow matchup would take place in the finals.
