TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 23, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Athletic Department will be on the road all this week.
 
Both SLCC's Baseball-and-Softball programs will take to the road for Scenic West Athletic Conference series, with league-leading SLCC Baseball playing at USU Eastern. The SLCC Softball program will travel to play upstart Southern Nevada in Las Vegas.

Baseball: The Scenic West-leading Bruins will travel to play a four-game series at USU Eastern this weekend. 
 
SLCC will open with USU Eastern on Thursday, then play a doubleheader on Friday. The Bruins and Eagles will conclude the series with a game on Saturday. Salt Lake is a league-best 11-1, while USU Eastern is in second place with a mark of 6-4.
 
SLCC will return home on March 31 to begin a four-game series with Community Christian.
 
Softball: SLCC Softball will hope to gain consistency after an up-and-down start to Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
 
SLCC went just 1-3 at home last weekend against Scenic West-leading Southern Idaho, setting the stage for a clash with Southern Nevada this weekend. CSN swept Snow College at home last weekend, showcasing how CSN is a program looking to content in the league, according to Bruins coach Cyndee Bennett.
 
"CSN is a veteran team," she said. "They will be a challenge, especially playing at their home field."
 
Bennett said the Bruins will focus this weekend on gaining more consistency.
 
"After the weekend, we just need to shore up our defense," she said. "We made too many errors. We are continually improving and that makes me feel good about where we are going."
