Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 13, 2022) – A chilly Sunday game did little to deter the Salt Lake Community College Baseball team.
 
The Bruins earned an 11-3 run-rule victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College, overcoming an early deficit to post the dominant win. SLCC is now 13-4 overall and 8-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games. 
 
SLCC scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning, utilizing an RBI base hit from Travis Johnson and a two-run hit from Jordan Scott to power forward. The Bruins posted three more runs in the third inning, thanks to an RBI triple from Chase Taylor and an RBI double from Zachary Blaszak.
 
Ernesto Lugo-Canchola earned the victory, with Shay Timmer picking up the save. Timmer had a pair of strikeouts in the fifth inning.
 
Salt Lake will host the College of Southern Idaho in a four-game series this weekend.
