Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 11, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Baseball team continued its strong run through the start of Scenic West Athletic Conference play, earning a victory to open a league series.
 
SLCC posted a 6-3 win over Colorado Northwestern to open a four-game series Friday, picking up its fifth-consecutive Scenic West win. The Bruins are now 11-4 and 5-0 in Scenic West play.
 
Derek Eaquinto led the Bruins to the strong victory, earning his fourth win of the season on a quality start. Eaquinto allowed no runs in six innings, scattering five hits while striking out a pair of CNCC batters.
 
After trailing 6-0, CNCC made things interesting late, leaving SLCC reliever Mason Green with the tying run at the plate in the eighth inning. Green responded with a pair of strikeouts, earning his third save of the season. 
 
Braden Winget went 2-of-3 with an RBI, while Bruer Webster was 1-of-3. Webster also had a pair of walks and scored two runs, all while stealing three bases. 
 
Salt Lake will play a doubleheader with Colorado Northwestern on Saturday.
