Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 24, 2021) – The Salt Lake Community College baseball team earned an extra-innings victory in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game on the road Saturday.
SLCC picked up a win over in-state rival USU Eastern, 4-3, staying ahead in a the tight race in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings. Salt Lake is now 28-14 overall and 21-7 in Scenic West standings.
Trailing 3-1 entering the ninth inning, SLCC tied the game on a two-out, two-strike, two-run single by
Zachary Blaszak to tie the game at 3-3. Salt Lake went ahead in the tenth inning, thanks to a
Hayden Peacock RBI single giving SLCC the final lead in a go-ahead win.
Sean Keating gave the Bruins an early lead thanks to an RBI single in the first inning.
Salt Lake will have a bye-week next week before facing off against No. 18 Southern Nevada in the final week of the season.
