Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 20, 2021) – A rainy Saturday proved to match the result for the Salt Lake Community College baseball team Saturday.

The Bruins fell in a series finale with an in-state foe Saturday, falling to USU Eastern 18-8 to end a series with the Eagles at 3-1. The result sets SLCC's overall record to 10-12 overall and 7-5 in Scenic West play.

Salt Lake came out of the gates with offensive firepower, scoring three runs in the first inning thanks to a series of Eagles errors. USU Eastern came back to counter in the second inning before the Bruins reclaimed the lead in the fourth inning, thanks to a
Chase Peterson RBI double. However, USU Eastern responded by scoring 15 runs over the final two innings, putting the game out of reach.Â

Zachary Blaszak scored a team-high two runs in the game.
Jaxon Weatherly went 1-of-1 at the plate.Â

The Bruins will have an off-week next week before returning to play at the College of Southern Nevada on April 1.Â
