Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 20, 2021) - The No. 14 Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team had been searching for a signature road win in the second-to-last weekend of the regular season.
The Bruins found that victory Saturday, earning a Scenic West Athletic Conference road win at in-state rival Snow College. SLCC earned a 99-98 win over Snow College, overcoming a double-digit halftime lead to earn the victory. Salt Lake is now 17-3 overall and 10-3 in Scenic West play.
Trailing 63-49 at halftime, Salt Lake outscored Snow, 50-35, in the second half to earn the win. The Bruins hit the go-ahead shot with five seconds left in regulation, ensuring they will head to next weekend with a chance to clinch the league's second seed in the upcoming Region 18 tournament. SLCC shot 55.3 percent in the second half, making 6-of-12 three-point shots.Â
Salt Lake finished with six double-digit scorers, led by
Marvin Price and
Quincy McGriff both scoring 19 points apiece.
Bendji Pierre had 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while
Sam Hofman scored 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
Maks Klanjscek posted 12 points, while
Jay Allen-Tovar finished with 10 points.
Salt Lake will close out the regular season with a game against USU Eastern Thursday, with 'Sophomore Day' scheduled for Saturday against Southern Idaho. Both games will be played inside the Lifetime Activities Center.Â
