Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 13, 2021) - The No. 11 Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team earned a strong home win over an upstart Scenic West Athletic Conference performer Saturday.
The Bruins picked up a 73-61 victory over the College of Southern Nevada, utilizing strength inside to power to the victory. SLCC moves to 15-3 overall and 8-3 in league play with the victory.
The game went back-and-forth early, with Southern Nevada taking a slight lead early in the first half. The Bruins fought back for a 29-25 halftime lead, then came out and shot 48.3 percent in the second half with a 23-12 edge in rebounding to take the lead. SLCC finished with a 46-27 rebounding edge for the game.Â
Felix Lemetti and
Quincy McGriff both scored 16 points, with
Bendji Pierre also scoring 10 points.
Jackson Last scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting.
SLCC will travel to play Colorado Northwestern next week.Â
