Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 9, 2021) – The Salt Lake Community College baseball team returned to the field Tuesday, traveling for a road doubleheader with No. 16 Yavapai College. 
 
The Bruins swept a doubleheader in strong fashion, earning a 3-1 extra-innings win in game one and an 11-1 victory in game two. The wins boost SLCC's overall record to 3-3.
 
Salt Lake will return to the field this weekend for a four-game series with Central Arizona. 
 
Salt Lake 3, Yavapai 1: A back-and-forth affair saw the Bruins earn an extra-innings victory.

Tied at 1-1 iin the eighth inning, Salt Lake broke a tie with a RBI singles from Jake Herman and Travis Johnson. Blake Whiting closed out the victory on the mound. 
 
Salt Lake 11, Yavapai 1: The Bruins earned a run-rule victory, utilizing a series of home runs to roll to the dominant victory.

Leading 3-0 early, SLCC's Brenden Blanchard hit a grand-slam home run to boost SLCC's lead to 7-0. The Bruinsw ould add to the lead in the fourth inning as Sean Keating added a solo home run, while Dalton Hodge hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.
