Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 13, 2021) – A Saturday doubleheader ended with a sweep for the Salt Lake Community College baseball team.
The Bruins were swept in pair of games with Central Arizona College, finishing with a 4-2 loss in game one and a 10-1 defeat in game two. The split leaves SLCC's record at 3-6.
Salt Lake will play a single game to close the series on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Central Arizona 4, Salt Lake 2: An early Salt Lake lead was taken away by timely Central Arizona hits.
SLCC opened up with a 1-0 lead in the second inning, with
Sean Keating and
Braden Winget combining for hits. However, Central Arizona posted four runs in the bottom of inning to take a commanding lead. The Bruins pushed across another run in the fourth inning, as
Travis Johnson was hit by a pitch and picked up an RBI with the bases loaded for SLCC. However, the game ended in the seventh inning with Salt Lake stranding two runners.

Dalton Hodge home run was a lone highlight for SLCC in game two of the doubleheader.
Hodge hit a 440-foot home run in the second inning to give Salt Lake an early 1-0 lead. The Vaqueros would quickly seize momentum, scoring consistently to end with the victory.
